Have you ever asked yourself what will your job look like in 5 years’ time? Will it exist in its current form? Will it even exist at all?
None of us know what the future holds but what we do know is that we live in unusual times and in a world that is forever changing. We now also know from experience that the world can shut down very quickly and what we know to be normal ceases to exist. This means that our jobs and its description can change irrevocably at any time and when we lease expect. While we cannot predict the future, we can learn from the past and ensure that we are always ready to pivot, upskill or change career. There are strategies that we can put in place now to ensure we futureproof our careers. Before I go into these let me say that “Mindset” is very important. Developing and nurturing a growth mindset is center and key to every aspect of your life.
Renowned Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck says that it’s not intelligence, talent or education that sets successful people apart. It’s their mindset, or the way that they approach life’s challenges.
